bias lock

When i restart with my back up cd,i get a message saying cannot determine bios lock,please contact system manufacturer. i am not able to do this because it is a Time computer and they have gone out of business

Please can you help

Im not quite sure what you mean by bios lock, but I would give this a shot:

Open the case, and look for a little round battery.
Take it out, and wait at least 4 minutes.
Pop it back in, you will have lost time and date settings, but it should have forgotton any CMOS settings, leaving the BIOS in a state of factory defaults.
