Re: restoring C drive
Click on the start menu & then run. Type in compmgmt.msc & hit enter. On the left side of the box that pops up, click on Disk management. On the right side in the bottom window find your hard drive & make sure that it has a drive letter. If it doesn't say "Local Disk (C  " then you won't be able to access the drive although if this is where Xp is installed then it should have a drive letter. Does it show up in my computer?
As for Office, were you running a trial? Trials eventually expire & after it does you can only use it to view & print documents at best. What version of office is it (2000, XP, 2003, 2007 or something else)? Where did you get it? Did it come with your computer? Why don't you have a license key?
