Help-how can i wipe the disc and keep my files at the same time

Please help i think i need to wipe disc but i don't want to lose my files

You can't. The purpose of wiping a disk is to ensure all data is not recoverable. Perhaps is you told us what your problem is, we can help.

You can backup your files to USB Flash drive using a Linux live cd before you wipe your hardrive. Here is how you do it.

Or you could use a partition manager and make a new partition and transfer all you files over then reformat the windows partition.

Thanks everyone,it's just that i have a lot of files and programmes so i was kinda hoping a complete wipe was a last resort
