Post Sound Card - Big issue

Howdy people.
I've got an issue for about 1-2 months now, and I am very upset.
My audio driver cd, which I got with a CD at the time I borrowed my computer is, C-Media CM6501 Audio driver.

This worked properly until 2 months ago when the microphone started to be messy.
Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.
I know that the hardware works properly, because when I turn off "mute" on playback, I can hear myself.
I tried to uninstall the audio driver, and then i got some audio input/output named PnP Audio Driver. This driver did not work with the microphone either. I got some warnings when using for example ventrilo/skype/msn. Here is a screenshot: dump.no - Simple Filesharing

Here is info about my comp: http://dump.no/files/01ee459b99ff/info.html
Also check: http://dump.no/files/01ee459b99ff/motherboard.html

Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: Now also when I try to install C-Media driver again i get this message: Installation failed. Please disconnect the C-Media 6501 Sound device, restart your computer, and try again.
As well there is absolutely NO SOUND from the computer now. It's like the audio card isn't connected...

Re: Sound Card - Big issue

go to start>contol panel>performance and maintenance>system>hardware(tab)>device manager

see if any of the devices have got a red or orange circle next to them this will indicate if there is a problem with the devices and which devices.

please post if any of them have one of the circles next to them and which one if any

Re: Sound Card - Big issue

Hey, actually there is one device marked red.
"USB Composite Device"

Also made a screenshot for you: dump.no - Simple Filesharing

EDIT: This is the PnP Audio Device, "Location 0 (PnP Audio Device)". It's most likely red because I turned the device off 2 days ago.. Tryed to do something new. But I will activate it again, so then it's none red/yellow devices.

EDIT2: I activated it again and tryed to open up ventrilo after restarting the computer and got this message:"USB Controller Brandwidth Exceeded".
I made a sceenshot of it: http://www.dump.no/files/859282d0507c/usbbrandwith.JPG

Please help asap, huge problem for me, because I use skype and ventrilo every day, got contacts etc through it.

Re: Sound Card - Big issue

Welcome to D-A-L.

There are multiple problems listed in your post. (Sound issues and USB issues.) Lets work one at a time.

You state;
Quote:
My audio driver cd ... C-Media CM6501 Audio driver
In your "info about my comp:" it shows Multimedia - None detected.

C-Media is/are generally onboard devices. If onboard, and none is detected, then the onboard sound device is not enabled in the machines bios.

Firstly, ensure it is enabled in the bios.

Secondly, download, install, and run Everest Home Edition on this machine. (Clean FreeWare) Once it's finished loading and running, look under Multimedia, or, under Multimedia, PCI / PnP Audio. This will tell you what sound devices you have available on your system. Post that information.

Also look under MOTHERBOARD.
Post what is listed for your Motherboard (make/model) and the Motherboard Chipset description.

Post back with your results and any further questions.
