Cant get past 1st screen?

Cant get past 1st screen?
Just turned on my laptop and it has stuck on the loading windows xp screen, the blue loading bar just keeps on running. can't do anything, nothing I press makes any difference.

Re: Cant get past 1st screen?
Try booting into Safe Mode and choosing Last Known Good Configuration.
(Hit F8 just after the machines POST (Power On Self Test).
