Help with Microsoft.Net 2.0.....please?

I am trying to download Microsoft.Net Framework 2.0. I need it to work at home. I have done everything I can think of that may be keeping it from loading. It gets so far and then i get an error which reads, "Error 25015. Failed to install assembly 'C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Mic rosoft.VisualBasic.Vsa.dll' because of system error: 0x80131107

Please help me figure this out......I am sooo lost!! Thank you! Paula
