In Outlook Express, click on Tools in the Menu Bar. Click Options, then the Security tab. Check your settings there. Especially the box under Download Images for blocking external content.

Thank you for the reply Dan.I have unclicked the box you mentioned but to no avail.When I click a link the greyed in part that informs you about the e.mail in-between my list of E.mails and the actual message goes blue but that's it,nothing else happens.
