Cool Looking for help with partitioning!

Was wondering if the nice people here at DAL could give me some advice on the do’s & don’ts when it comes to trying to partition my MAIN DRIVE “C”?
The “C” drive looks, at the moment, like this: - used space 19.4GB, free space 129GB.
After it is partitioned I would like it to look like this:-
Drive C xp pro SP2 40GB
Drive X xp pro SP3 28GB
Drive X ghost C drive 38GB
Drive X file backups 43GB.
Just got a copy of EASEUS sitting on “C” waiting to be fired up.http://www.d-a-l.com/help/images/smilies/helpsmilie.gif
Any recommendations on the best way to go about this, greatly appreciated.

Re: Looking for help with partitioning!

You do realize that once you (re)partition this hard disk, all data on the hard disk will be GONE, and you will have to reinstall all O/S's and all software/drivers for each O/S scenario which you've listed.

UNLESS you possess a third party partitioning/imaging tool. You would have to image the existing C: drive somewhere (and probably any other existing subsequent partitions) until the hard disk is (re)partitioned the way you want, then restore the "old" images onto the new partitions.

Is this your goal?

Do you possess such third party tools and the required space for bouncing around all these images?

I haven't used the EASEUS partitioning tool yet (I gather this is what you mean) so it has to be clearly understood what/how you plan to perform this.

As well, it appears you have a 150GB hard disk. Realize that once you start partitioning, you won't get the full divisions you've outlined; 40, 28, 38, 43.
