Can not insall Yahoo Messenger

Hi everybody
My Yahoo Messenger used to work normally till I received this message

"This application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

Now each time I try to reinstall Yahoo Messenger I get the same message despite that I uninstalled and deleted every possible configuration left from the first installation.
I use Yahoo Messenger 9

Under the add remove programs make sure everything is uninstalled (messenger, toolbar, etc). Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. Run it, find any entry that says yahoo, select it, & then click on remove. If nothing shows up try perfect uninstaller. You should then be able to reinstall yahoo messeger but if not I recommend that you contact their tech support. Remember that yahoo messeger 9 requires IE 7 but if it ran before then I'm sure that you have it.

I tried every possible way but found that the problem was with Yahoo messenger 9 itself as I tried Yahoo Messenger 8 and it works normally.

9 will only work if you have IE 7 so if you don't have that you'll need to install it.
