Re: error message

Only some Word files? So you can open up other Word (.doc) files with no problems? And if you try to open those files on another computer, do they open?

Have you scanned for malware?

Sadly, there are about 9 versions of Word and you failed to mention which one you have. In most later versions of Office products, including Word, under Help, there is a "detect and repair" option that may help fix Word, if that is the problem - you may be prompted for the Word/Office install disk, so have it ready.
