Don't mean to hijack the thread but I do run quad cores on liquid systems plus the graphics and northbridges.
Obviously not in line with this thread nor normal usage but it will run all Prime 95 iterations as well as 3D Mark well under 50C which a stock cooler would be over 70C.
I haven't yet gone to Peltiers or nitrogen but it is interesting if you are into the hardware and numbers.
I have seen a video on someone who put a lot of oil in the case (it looked like vegetable oil; your generic cooking oil) to keep the temps cool but I do not recommend that. I don't know if that really works (or if the video is staged) or if it is safe but I am sure that will void your warranty on everything.
