How do I copy a Webpage and save as a .jpg?

Hi I'm a newbie

Having obtained permission to copy a large logo from a web page, unlike say a normal photo where you 'right click save as' .jpg

The only option I seem to have is save to 'save page as' but I don't want to save the whole page I only want to save the logo and also most importantly save the logo as a .jpg to use in my photo album.

Any ideas how I do this would be appreciated

Many Thanks

John

The simplest way would be to hit "Print Screen" on the keyboard and then simply paste into say Microsoft Paint. You can then crop the logo down and save it. Alternatively the more complex way would be to right click the page and select "View Source" (In IE) or "View page source" (In Firefox) and then locate the URL for the image. You could then put that URL into the address bar and load the picture on it's own which would allow the right-click save as option.

If you use Firefox (possibly Safari or Chrome and currently less successful in IE), the following addon (Aardvark) might be able to assist you prior to trying the print screen:

Quote:
Powerful and user-friendly selector utility for selecting elements and doing various actions on them. It can be used for cleaning up a page prior to printing it (by removing and isolating elements), and for web development
I to isolate the element (that is, remove everything else on the page)

There are also free screen capture programs like PrintKey and Greenshot that allow you to do all kinds of captures, entire Desktop, active window or selected regions.
