help please

hello my name is jordan and need help. i am kinda a comeputer wiz but i cant find this out

i have two headphone one is a USB and one is i not sure what there are called but the nomal one you see every where. the 1st thing i need help is with my headphone
mic when i try speaking in to it it does'it record my voice

2st thing is that i can here out of it that is all

if any one colud help me it wolud help alot

First of all check you have the volume up and not muted fo rthe MIC.

Goto - Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control

If you do not see Microphone then click option > properties

Just ensure all volume sliders are up and no options are Muted first of all.
