burning cd in windows media

i cannot burn because blank cd is not recognised.any ideas ty

Dave, a little more info is needed. Does your burner require a CD-R or a CD+R......and is there a chance you are putting the wrong type of CD in there.

Also, what burning programs are you using?

Have you successfully burnt on this burner before? Please give as much info as necessary.....
