Unhappy Web applications not loading correctly

Hello there. I am at present having difficulties in properly viewing web based applications such as hotmail, yahoo, myspace, etc etc. The application will load with images and basic text ok but all background colours are missing and in some cases the text may be larger then usual and in some cases will overlap and become unreadable.
I would be most grateful if anyone could shed any light on this for me.

Cheers

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware or software?

If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Unhappy yes new problem.

Im using a new computer but have only just gone online. Previously there were no problems offline at all. All of the graphics and all software were working just fine. The newest software that I have addeded would be the Macafee security centre 7.0 which was just prior to going online for the 1st time on the 23rd. offline everything is still good its just web pages that are lacking colour and text continuity. I tried a system restore and nothing happened, the only adjustment that I can make is by going to the browsers view> text size, but this only has a limited effect.

Just to verify: You never were on-line without these problems. Is that correct?

Try Safe Mode with Networking (which allows you to go on-line):

Try booting into Safe Mode options:

After the power-on and BIOS POST or your Logo screen repeatedly tap the F8 key or hold the Ctrl key before Windows starts.

Does the problem persist?

If so try just briefly going on-line with McAfee disabled. Does the problem persist?

Do you have SP2 and all the latest Windows Updates?

What is the make and model of the computer?

As it must be under warranty have you attempted to contact the retailer and or manufacturer?
