Thumbs up Corrupt Folder

Hi Guys, Something strange has happened to one of my folders on my system. Between 16:30 and 16:50 the other day ONE folder and all its subfolders on my documents corrupted every single file in the folder and subfolders within a few minutes of each other. The last modified date was the same date and time as described above. It doesnt matter whether it is a word file, jpeg file, gif file, pdf, ppt they are now all gobbydegook....... they all still show up in the folder and they are all still showing the correct associations and different file sizes but when you try to open them up it is rubbish. I have moved them, changed the file extentions to .rtf for example but to no avail.

All other files and folders are unaffected by this and everything else works fine.

I am at a loss as to why any idea's?? I can send via email any of the above mentioned files so you can see what they say.

Thanks in advance for your help on this.

I am not sure if it will fix this issue but you might as well try a System Restore to a point prior to this issue:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

What is your object here?

Are you wanting to recover this data or are you having problems deleting this folder?

If the former there are many data recovery tools on the market. This one happens to be free:

If it is a deletion issue this might work:
