Question the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)

i got this error whenever i open the program
"the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)"

what should i do ? plz help me

imported_meis Is a beginner here at D-A-L
the program is tsearch

actually i can open it until few days ago i reformat the hd and then cannot open so lame...

What exactly do you mean by you "reformat the hd"?

I would guess you need to reinstall this program.

i mean i formatted/deleted the C drive and installed with a new copy of windows XP, sorry for my poor eng.

Did you reinstall this program? It is not part of XP.

If you formatted and reinstalled XP then I will assume you reinstalled Tsearch as it wouldn't be there otherwise.

So the next question is have you installed SP2. If not do so. It will be in Windows Update.
