os Check Vista Migration appears in my temp files a lot does anyone know how to stop this I'm on xp.

You can delete the files.

Did you every run the Vista upgrade tool?

Check start Run... msconfig | Startup

If you see a Vista tool here uncheck it from starting.

On reboot you will be told you are in diagnostic mode. Just check: Don't show me this again.

Thanks for the quick reply.

No Vista tool found, still getting same rubbish in temp files and they are many. I have had to delete them offen as they are a pest.

You can uncheck everything in msconfig | Startup just to see if it makes a difference.

I am suspecting that some program or service which automatically starts is running this tool.
