Graphics problem

Have a rather unusual problem and wondered if anyone had come across anything similar:

I have a new system built with an Asus motherboard and nvidia geforce PCI/E card running XP pro. When viewing a word 2007 document the letters are not as sharp as the client would like.

I have tried a new monitor, new cable and new graphics card. I have tried different refresh rates, resolutions and graphics drivers.

Can you think of anything I have missed – letters are still slightly blurry?

Had a good look at cleartype which appears to enable on installation of office 2003. No improvement in font graphics though.
