Computer suddenly WONT BOOT... HELP!!!

hi, i have a dell 8300 computer. recently, after i turned it off the previous night, the next day it wouldnt boot up. It had recently picked up a illegal advertisement virus because every 40 minutes or so i would get a popup claiming to be windows, but, since i use an alienware theme, it was obviously not my computer talking to me. I quarenteened it, and then turned off my computer. and when i tried turning it back on, it boots up, says theres a voltage alert or something like that where it doesnt have enough power or something like that. Also, there is a keyboard failure message. when i press F1 to boot it, it boots through, completes a system c check for consistency, loads up the screen where you pick your user, then no matter what you do, about 3 seconds later it restarts again. I would just reformat my computer but there is some files i would LIKE to save... though if its going to be hours of tedious work to fix, ill just reformat it anyways. does anyone have any clue as to how i can fix this problem? its very annoying.

THANKS.

Can you hook your drive up to another computer as a secondary drive? If so you can hook it up and transfer your data that way. Also you could try useing windows set-up to repair Windows. I belive that should work.

"... then turned off my computer. and when i tried turning it back on, it boots up, says theres a voltage alert or something like that where it doesnt have enough power or something like that."

Is this "message" from the machine level (ie; bios - before windows starts loading) or while windows is loading?

"Also, there is a keyboard failure message. when i press F1 to boot it, it boots through,..."

The fact that it accepts the F1 key press seems to suggest that there isn't a (major) failure with the keyboard. (Stuck keys (keys often used, such as SPACE and ENTER) can sometimes promote this error.) This lends to the possibility of aquired malware.

However, some of the symptoms described can be attributed to hardware issues. Such as dead or dying cmos battery, failing hard disk, heat related issues, failing CPU, failing motherboard, corrupted drivers, or memory problems.

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode? If so, does it complete the boot?
