Cursor jumping

Hi everyone

For some reason the cursor on my laptop has started jumping really badly. I can't go a sentence without it starting to type at a different point. Hard to convey what I mean. For example..

I am also struggling with my cursor all of a sudden dumping me on a different window when I'm working on something.

The cursor doesn't move on the screen when this happens. It visibly stays in the same place.

It's really slowing me down and driving me mad. I don't have any viruses that I know of. I've ran an up to date scan on my system.

What is the make and exact model number of the laptop?

Are you using the laptops keyboard, or an "external" keyboard? (ie; PS2, USB, wireless.)
