I reformatted the hard drive on a Dell XPS 210. when I run windows xp installation it runs the system files but when the windows is starting screen comes up I get a stop error, 0x0000007b. I think that xp does not have the drivers for the sata hard drive but the motherboard does not support a floppy drive to install them during setup. am I on the right track? what should I do?

during installation of Windows XP on the first screen when it is starting to load into the setup blue screen, you will notice at the bottom the setup mentions press a certain key for different options. Off the top of my head, there is one on there for SATA to be recognised and as long as you press that key then the installation should work first time. Also make sure that you have got in your BIOS to boot from CD, not that this should make much difference after installation.

Any problems let me know.
