XP pro two questions

hello new to computer world. I was told that I can up grade my Pc to Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3 which I like as I am using XP Home.

However, what is the SP3? And does it come with XP Professional

please can someone tell me also what is Windows XP Service Pack 3 - ISO-9660 CD Image File what is the Image File and ISO? I am right in thinking that it will reinstall your computer if it crashed.

Sorry totally new to all this but I have to ask.

SP3 is the latest and last service pack for XP. It applies to both Home and Pro.

Why do you want to upgrade from Home to Pro?

Although I prefer Pro I don't see it being worth it at this time.

An ISO is an Image File that is used to install Operating Systems and other bootable programs.

If you are looking to upgrade Windows 7 would be the current choice although it will require a Clean Install so your programs would need reinstalling and your data would need to be backed up and transfered.
