Message at Boot up

I recently did a clean install of XP Pro on a new hard drive. Now every time that I boot the computer I get a request as to what Operating System I want to use. I press enter and XP Pro loads as normal.

How do I get rid of this request?

Thanks for advice.

Re: Message at Boot up

Hmmm, then I don't think it was a "clean" install.

Check out How to edit the Boot.ini file in Windows XP. How many OSs does yours show?

Smile Re: Message at Boot up

It seems that somehow I had a second installation of a windows operating system. I removed the second installation and no longer get the message at boot up.

Thanks for the help Digerati.
