Computer won't boot to select user or loading screen!

I'm am completely fustrated.
I was having those computer updates and restart the computer.
When i restart i get the blue screen of death.
I used the Xp cd to reinstall and i managed to re-installed it.
But it won't boot to the 'select user screen' or the 'window xp loading screen'.
It just goes to the 'start computer normally or last known configuration screen',and pressing any of it,the computer still restart.
When i go to safe mode,it just load a few of the things and the computer restart,which mean that i can't even go to safe mode.
Which mean no matter what i press my computer will keep restart.
IM AM REALLY FUSTRATED.

What is the last driver that it lists before it restarts? Did you get any errors during the reinstall? What is the make/model of you computer? You might not have needed to reinstall the OS but thats over and done with.

Was it a "clean install"? ie; Did you format the "C" drive before the installation of the Operating System?

Doesn't formatting mean cleaning the whole disc and losing all my stuff?
I didn't even do any backup?
I read on some sites and they said that installing the xp again will repair the bad stuff.
i tried with all those 'fixboot' 'fixmbr' and chkdsk' but doesn't work too.

Just to let you know,i 4 months had my computer-man clear the whole disc.(should be formatting).
When i get to save mode,it just loads a few driver and the last driver is 'Map' or 'Mvp'.I'm not sure but i will tell u later.

Yes. So evidently you've done a "repair install".


I suggest (first) starting in Safe Mode and;

Run a file check on the O/S.

If you have an XP CD:
Click START, RUN, type in:

sfc /purgecache

(This ensures that system files are copied from your Windows installation media, and files which may be infected/damaged with malware, or are corrupted, are not copied from your drive. Some of the files which are restored/replaced may need MS Updates applied. If sfc replaces any such files, you will have to reinstall updates for those files. (If you have Automatic Updates active, this will happen automatically.))

Then type in:

sfc /scannow

Have your XP CD handy.


If you do not have an XP CD:
Click START, RUN, type in:

sfc /scannow

@Dan He is saying that it restarts when booting into safe mode.

Once you get the advanced menu options from which you choose safe mode select disable automatic restarts, hit enter, and then select safe mode. Let us know the last listed driver.

Hey i got a new problem,it says 'load needed DLL's for kernel'

Is there even a option to select disable automatic restart?I can't find it!.
btw,i have solved the load dlls for kernel.
When in safe mode,it loads a few driver before restarting.
The last driver was .....partition1/windows/system32/Drivers/Mup.sys
I'm not sure whether it is mvp.sys or mup.sys because i can't recognize it.

Yes. Click Start, Control Panel, System, Advanced tab, then Startup and Recovery. Under the "System failure" section, remove the check mark from "Automatically restart".

The machine must be restarted for it to take effect.

I can't even get to select user screen!
How do i get to desktop and control panel.
The problem is the computer restarts even before reaching the 'loading xp' screen
I tried fixboot,fixmbr and chkdsk repair.And the problem still occur.I really didn't want to get a technician to solve it because it require MONEY.
Looking at the problem,could it be a hard-drive problem or simply window xp itself?
